About us
The conferences and courses department was set up in August 2000 with the opening of the Academic Centre and the remit of providing a comprehensive event management service to promote training, education and income generation.
Based within the Academic Centre at The James Cook University Hospital, the department promotes its service both internally to hospital staff and externally to other NHS providing organisations which include other hospitals, general practitioners, primary care trusts and various networks.
Events can be held across the UK or abroad and may be local, regional, national or international.
Types of events includes:
- Meetings
- Seminars
- Courses
- Conferences
- Exhibitions
- Product launches
- Charity and social events
Due to their own success many of our events become annual events.
Generally specific events are set up where there is a specific need or area for training outside mandatory training, often our service users would not have time or the resources to manage such an event on their own and therefore hire our expert service to organise the event. Our prices are reasonable and cost effective providing value for money training and a profit!
