Paediatric and Neonatal Safe Transfer and Retrieval Course

Overview

The paediatric and neonatal safe transfer and retrieval course has been deleveloped by the ALSG to provide clear practical instruction on the transfer of paedicatrics and neonates.  The syllabus includes lectures, skills, workshops, and trolley top simulations.

The course is delivered over 2 days and topics include:

• Paediatric and neonatal transfers
• Preparation, packaging, pre-departure
• Checks and transportation
• Communication
• Ventilation
• Environment and temperature
• Documentation
• Legal aspects and handover

Candidates will be required to complete a pre MCQ and will be tested throughout the 2 days upon completion they will receive a certificate which is valid for 4 years.
